Urban Graduate is a clothing brand established in 2021 by Founder/C.E.O Rapper "Jinx da Juvy," symbolizing those determined individuals who refuse to allow circumstances to dictate their success.

Our mission is to celebrate breaking barriers through style and design. Urban Graduate defines the hustler who takes their grind beyond the corner and applies it in corporate America. Artists who transition into executives, women who help build the WNBA, and Hip-Hop before the mainstream audience accepted rap music are just a few examples of what it means to be a Urban Graduate. We are a voice in the form of fashion which all walks of life can identify with.

About CEO & Founder

After building a rap career, signing to DefJam records, and becoming the adopted son of Hip-Hop Mogul Russell Simmons, the company founder Derek "Jinx Da Juvy" Carr was arrested in 2014 for a non-violent crime and sentenced to 25 years in Federal prison. While incarcerated, Jinx reinvented himself into a fashion entrepreneur. The story behind Urban Graduate who, where, and how it was built, is not only inspirational but the epitome of what the brand represents. In January 2023, a Federal Court Judge ruled, granting a 10 year reduction on Jinx's sentence. His earliest release date is scheduled 2025.
